DoUsParent provides parenting-plan services for unmarried parents. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and when we share it.

If you use the contact form, we collect your name and email address so we can answer your question. We may keep that information if we later send a follow-up message, such as asking whether we can help with anything else. We do not sell or rent contact information.

If you start the parenting-plan process, additional information is collected through our secure document platform, Gavel. That may include details needed to prepare the parenting plan and court documents, such as parent names, children’s names, schedules, and related case information.

We do not collect payment-card details on this website.

We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare and review documents, file documents with the court, and communicate about the matter. Occasional service messages may be sent to people who contacted us. We do not use children’s information for marketing.

We may share information with:

• Attorney Lyndon Scheveck and staff working on the matter
• Gavel, the platform used to collect answers and prepare documents
• The court and other government offices when filing is required
• Service providers who host this website or help it function

We represent only the parent who hires us. We do not share client information with the other parent except as needed to complete and file an agreed parenting plan, or as required by law.

Contact-form information is kept only as long as needed to respond and to maintain basic records. Case information is kept as long as needed for the legal matter and required recordkeeping.

This website is for adults. It is not directed at children. A parenting plan may include a child’s name and schedule because those details are required for the legal documents. We do not knowingly collect information from children through the public website.

You may email us to ask what contact information we have from the website form or to request that we stop follow-up messages. Requests about an active legal matter are handled through the attorney-client process.
